Those of you who travelled with us to New Delhi got to see one of the wonders of the world : The Taj Mahal. We’re very proud to show you another wonder in this tour : The Great Wall of China. This tour will take you on a trip through China before going to Japan and the Congress.

Sat 23/10 Frankfurt – Beijing

Transfer by bus to Frankfurt Airport and leave for Shanghai at 14:40

Sun 24/10 Beijing (B,L)

Arrival at 11:55, transfer to Novotel Sanyuan for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon we will visit a temple and the site of the Olympics (Watercube, Bird’s nest). Free evening and optional dinner at Duck de Chine.

Mon 25/10 Beijing (B,L)

After breakfast we go to the Tiananmen-square and the Forbidden City. We have lunch with a local family in the Hutongs, which we will visit afterwards by bike. In the evening there’s a Kung Fu show and dinner at Morel’s (optional).

Tue 26/10 Beijing – Xi’an (B,L,D)

Today is the day we visit the Great Wall. After this precious moment we return to Beijing for a visit of Dashanzi. Buffet dinner at the hotel and transfer by night train to Xi’an.

Wed 27/10 Xi’an – Guilin – Yangshuo (B,L,D)

On arrival we go to the Grand New Word Hotel for breakfast. Then we drive to the Muslim part of the town and get a taste of the well known dumplings. A visit to the medicine market

will bring us to the Terracotta Army for an extended visit. In the evening we board the flight to Yangshuo, where we will stay in the Yangshuo Resort. Evening : bartime in Yangshuo City !

Thu 28/10 Yangshuo (B,L)

Today is adventure day ! We’ll spend a whole day in the wild : hiking, bikeriding, electric eco-cars and a trip with a raft. We’ll end the day with a big spectacle called Liusanjie. There are 600 performers in every show, directed by Zhang Yimou, who als directed the opening ceremony for the 2008 Olympics.

Fri 29/10 Yanshuo – Longji (B,L,D)

Today we go on an expedition to see the numerous minorities living in Guangxi. We’ll follow a day in the life of the Yao and get to see some wonderful rice terraces. Dinner at the hotel or a local restaurant.

Sat 30/10 Longji – Shanghai (B,L,D)
